Parents/Guardians:
Today, we practiced an intruder drill in the Middle School building. Your students may
come home telling you about this and we wanted you to be aware should any questions
arise. There was no threat at any time to your child’s safety, as this was just a drill.
We take your child’s safety very seriously – which is why we practice situations such as
this drill, in order to be better prepared, should an incident occur.
We wish to reassure our Spartan families that we have continued to conduct school with
very little interruption to your child’s day. This drill was conducted in conjunction with
the Richmond Police Department.
We feel that open and clear communications with parents and students is important to
enhance our safety efforts.This is also an opportunity for family dialogue around the
importance of preparing for the unexpected.

The 7th & 8th grade band concert has been rescheduled for November 2nd at 6:30 at the Middle School.

RMS Band Fundraiser Items will arrive tomorrow October 14th. Students who had several items ordered may need to arrange other transportation.
The location for the MS football game tonight has been moved to Woodson Field: 710 East Main Street Richmond, MO 64085.

Tomorrow's (10/7) volleyball match vs. Lawson will now be played in Lawson due to a lack of transportation availability for Lawson. We will play C started at 4:30, followed by B and then A. Go Spartans!

🥎Softball will only play 1 game tonight starting at 4:30. The game will be played at Perkins Park in Plattsburg🥎
🏈Tonight’s football game has been moved to Dear Elementary.🏈
It’s Homecoming this week and we would like to show our Spartan Spirit by taking the Middle School students over to the High School for the Pep Assembly. Students will have the opportunity to watch and participate in some pep assembly activities. Students will be shuttled over just before 11:00 by bus, and shuttled back over to the middle school around noon for lunch. Per the federal mandate, any students riding a bus must wear a facemask for the duration of the bus ride. If you wish for your student to stay at the middle school and not be bussed over to participate in the pep assembly, please contact the middle school office at 816-776-5841. LET’S GO SPARTANS!

RMS Parents/Guardians: The 7th/8th grade football practice for Monday August 30th is now after-school. There will be no morning practice tomorrow.
🏃♂️Middle school cross country will practice tomorrow at 7am at the high school track. 🏃♀️
Middle School practice starts Monday (9/16). All athletes must have a practice card in order to practice. Practice cards can be obtained from the high school office with a current physical and a completed sports packet (located on the athletics website or in the high school office). The following are practice times to start the week:
Softball- We will start practice on the 16th. We will practice on the 16th 17th 19th and 20th will be from 3:30-5:30 pm. On the 18th we will have practice from 3:30-4:30. We will practice on the softball field by the middle school.
Football- Practice will start a 3:00 at the middle school.
Volleyball- 3:30 I’m the middle school gym.
