On Friday, October 9, 2020, Richmond R-XVI School District was notified that an individual at Richmond High School has tested positive for COVID-19. With guidance from Ray County Health Department, Richmond R-XVI has notified those who were indicated as having been in close contact with the COVID-19 positive individual. Students who are indicated to be close contacts will transition to virtual learning immediately and continue to quarantine. Unless you were called by a school district official, your child has not been identified as a close contact.
Ray County Health Department has been contact tracing and continues to do so.
Initial quarantine end dates will vary based on exposure and onset of symptoms. Specific quarantine end dates will be provided by the Ray County Health Department.
During the time of quarantine, students will participate in virtual learning. Students who are quarantined will not be able to attend or participate in school extracurricular activities for the health and safety of all participants.

All positive cases are immediately isolated and close contacts are notified. The Richmond R-XVI School District is following the RCHD and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines. Today's (9/10) golf match has been postponed.
The home football game vs Fulton has been rescheduled for Saturday, 9/12 at 1 pm at Richmond High School. Only spectators listed on the player pass list will be admitted into the game. Masks are still require during the game.
Tonight's softball game (9/10) vs. Higginsville has been postponed. A makeup date is being determined.
Saturday's softball tournament @ Polo has also been postponed.
JV softball @ Hardin has been cancelled. The field is too wet.
Reminder: Richmond Middle School athletic pictures are tomorrow at 3:30 behind the home football field bleachers. No group pictures will be taken, only individual pictures.
The class of 2023 booster club will have a meeting on Wednesday at 6pm in the high school commons. All parents/guardians are invited to attend.
Tonight's home JV football game vs Lathrop is postponed. Lathrop called to inform us that they are unable to play tonight. Reschedule date TBD.

Fans are welcome at the game, but we do require that you wear a mask anytime you are inside the gate. We also ask that all spectators keep at least 6' of space at all times from other spectators. Concessions will be available, but options will be limited to items that do not require food handling.
