Due to school not being in session on February 4, the Mat/Court dance will be postponed until February 12.
Due to freezing temperatures and poor road conditions, there will be no school on Friday, February 4, 2022.
Due to the hazardous road conditions and predicted frigid temperatures, there will be No School Thursday, February 3.
Due to an anticipated winter storm, there will be No School tomorrow, Wednesday, February 2, 2022. All sports and activities are canceled for February 2, 2022.
The Richmond School District will be closed Wednesday, February 2 due to impending weather.

The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education provides each school district throughout the state five Alternative Method of Instruction (AMI) days that can be used during a school calendar year. Due to teachers, staff and sub shortages in our district, we will have exhausted our AMI days Thursday and Friday, January 27 & 28. Any further cancellations (other than weather related) could result in the loss of day(s) of breaks and/or day(s) added to the end of the school calendar.
In an attempt to prevent this from happening, starting Tuesday, February 8, 2022, we are adding 10 minutes to the school day by restructuring our internal instructional time. By doing this every day for the remainder of the year, this would give us approximately two more school days of flex time to utilize if needed. We continue to have an extremely high number of staff members who are getting sick, so we are still in a staffing crisis. As this situation continues, we cannot sustain the current pace throughout the whole week, with more and more staff falling ill. We will not have enough staff to properly supervise students during the school day by the end of this week. We will shut down on Thursday and Friday, January 27 and 28, during the school day, including Adventure Club and preschool. The district will be using our two remaining AMI days. . School offices will be open from 8-12. Central Office will remain open during regular business hours. Evening activities will continue as scheduled, as long as staffing is available. Due to staff and student illness, Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) days will be utilized starting tomorrow, Wednesday, January 19th through Friday, January 21st.
