International Day of People with Disability

Come join Special Needs Services of Ray County MO and their Community at Play Program in celebrating the “2021 International Day of People with Disabilities.” In Richmond, Missouri on December 3, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. we will celebrate “Walking for a Reason” with a celebration walk at the Richmond High School track field, 451 E. South Street. This is a community wide event, and all are invited to walk and celebrate together for fun.

International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is held on 3 December each year. IDPwD is a United Nations observed day celebrated internationally. It aims to increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability and celebrate their achievements and contributions.

Our 2021 theme for this event is:

            Together as a Community and as a Nation-Walking for a Reason….

The Community at Play program desires meaningful change FOR our community, IN our community, and surrounding communities. Come join, “united” as a community in this celebratory fun walk with our community for the 2021 International Day of People with Disability on December 3, 2021!
