For the safety of our students, staff and families, the Board of Education voted to change the school calendar to make December 21 and December 22 extended holiday break days. Due to increases in COVID-19 cases in the community, the District is concerned with quarantining students and staff on December 21 and December 22 that would lead to interruption to the holidays.
The Richmond School District would like to wish all families and staff members a safe and happy holiday season. We hope that this extended break will allow for everyone to have time to relax and be ready to return to school in January for the second semester. As a reminder staff will return on January 6 and students will return on January 7.
